About the work
Hi, my name is Kalyn Marab, I offer Soma Structural Integration. This is a type of body therapy in the lineage of Ida Rolf, sometimes referred to as Rolfing, or Structural Integration. This approach is holistic, and reaches to address the root of the discomfort to create long lasting change.
Often people come to Soma to remedy postural dysfunctions, pain, chronic injuries, or wanting to move with more ease, fluidity and strength. What people find is a deepening of ones connection to self, embodiment, and improvement in overall functioning.
This work has the most transformative results when experienced through the 10 session series, though a single session can certainly be supportive and be a step towards feeling better.
Services
-
Soma Structural Integration Series: This work is rooted in the 10 series created by Ida Rolf in the 1960’s. (Also known as Rolfing). The series is often why people seek out this work, when they are looking to really improve or change their structure.
-
A single session, working through the entire body. Supportive of the nervous system, and is focused on lengthening the fascial lines. A session will leave you feeling spacious in your body, uplifted, and energized.
-
Treatment work is great for those seeking to focus on a specific part of the body, an acute issue, or just knows exactly what they want worked. A treatment session is also great after having completed the series and someone is wanting to follow up after a few months.
My Practice
My practice is a place where your body has not already been determined. Where presence, attunement and communication support the depth of the work. Together, we strive for authenticity, with humility and understanding that we are all learning as we go.
I believe that your bodymind holds the key to healing. Sometimes, it is only a matter of recollection, release, and trust.
